Who we are and how to contact us

Verdax Limited (trading as Verdax Software) ("Verdax", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy covers the Verdax Software website at verdax.co.uk. Our products, Aris and Velenta, are separate services with their own privacy policies.

Verdax Limited is the data controller for the personal data described here. We are registered in England and Wales (company number 15666366), at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.

Information we collect

This is a marketing website. You can use most of it without giving us any personal data. We collect:

• Information you give us: when you use our contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address and the content of your message. If you tick the opt-in box, we also add your email address to our updates list.
• Information collected automatically: our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to operate and secure the site, and we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that measure aggregate usage without identifying you.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we never sell your personal data.

How and why we use your information (lawful basis)

Under UK GDPR we rely on the following lawful bases:

• Responding to your enquiry: our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before any contract.
• Sending you product and company updates: your consent, given when you tick the opt-in box. Every update includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw consent at any time.
• Operating and securing the website: our legitimate interest in keeping the site available, performant and protected from abuse.

Sharing and third parties

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our behalf, under contract and only as needed to run this website:

• Vercel: website hosting and cookieless analytics.
• Resend: delivery of contact and confirmation emails, and our updates list.

We may also disclose information where required by law. We do not share your data for advertising.

Data retention

• Enquiry emails: typically kept for up to 24 months after we last hear from you, then deleted.
• Updates list: kept until you unsubscribe. Every update includes a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also opt out any time by emailing privacy@verdax.co.uk.
• Server logs: kept for a short period (typically up to 30 days) for security and operations. Analytics is aggregated and is not linked to you.

International transfers

Some of our providers (including Vercel and Resend) are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an adequacy decision.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access a copy of your personal data, and have it corrected or erased.
• Restrict or object to how we use it, and request portability.
• Withdraw consent at any time, using the unsubscribe link in any update or by emailing privacy@verdax.co.uk.
• Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@verdax.co.uk. We will respond within the time limits set by law.

Cookies

We use only essential and functional storage, and cookieless analytics, so we do not show a cookie banner.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date shown at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
